Les had been living in his house at Mount Osmond for 19 years and had been considering solar for his roof but was concerned with the impact it may have on the aesthetics. Luckily for Les, Sunpower - a premium solar panel provider, had recently released the 'Performance' range which are all black and made with aesthetics in mind. We showed Les the range at a home consultation and he loved them.
Les had been following battery technology for many years and always held off, as he believed the technology was not quite there yet and if it was it just wasn't feasible for him. However, after the release of Tesla Powerwall, paired with the SA Home Battery Scheme which gives customers a sizeable discount on their battery - Les decided it was time to install.
Our solar consultant, Dean, did some analysis of Les' energy consumption, power bills and roof orientation. Dean determined that a 10.2kW solar system with 32 Sunpower panels, paired with Tesla Powerwall, would give Les the ability to save up to $4,700 a year on electricity! Wow.
