NRG Solar was founded by Eddy, driven by his passion for renewable energy and his commitment to exceptional customer experiences. What began as a solar repair service - fixing failed and orphaned systems across South Australia - evolved into a trusted provider of high-quality solar and battery solutions.

After leading the business for 12 years, Eddy has transitioned the Managing Director role to Dan Colquhoun, who now leads the next chapter of NRG Solar.

Eddy remains in the renewable energy industry, now helping deliver sustainable energy solutions to remote Pacific islands as co-owner of Island Solar. Widely recognised as a leader in the Australian solar sector, he is a regular contributor at national conferences and has built a strong reputation both locally and internationally as a green tech expert.

Dan is a renewable energy professional with more than a decade of experience in electrical and solar. Starting on the tools as a qualified solar electrician, he went on to run his own solar installation business before joining NRG Solar, where he progressed to lead installations and now serves as Managing Director.

With hands-on experience across installation, delivery, and operations, Dan brings a practical understanding of what it takes to deliver quality outcomes for customers.

His focus is on building on NRG’s strong foundations - growing through collaboration, while continuing to strengthen systems, processes, and team capability as the business evolves.

Anne is our behind-the-scenes guru. She leads our administration, accounting, human resource management and business development functions. Her long experience in managing businesses and developing people make her a huge asset.

Additionally, Anne is an enthusiastic advocate of renewable energy, having discovered how much her own power bills have been slashed by solar.

Our suppliers can rely on Jo for attention to detail, integrity, and timely payments. She has over 27 years of experience in finance, most of them working as a senior accountant or national finance manager for some of the biggest companies in the home improvement industry: Modern Group, Australian Outdoor Living and Australian Lawn Wholesalers.

Stefan, a seasoned solar installer with experience from the UK, brings a wealth of knowledge to NRG Solar and our apprentices. He prides himself on teaching and setting an example for our apprentices to achieve as they grow.

His expertise and dedication to quality align with NRG's commitment to excellence and can likely be found in the office or onsite with a cup of tea.

Stefan appreciates the friendly atmosphere and close relationships fostered within NRGs community.

Originally from South Africa, Justin brings global experience and a grounded, customer-first approach to his role at NRG Solar. Since joining the team, he’s helped homeowners and business owners alike find smarter, long-term energy solutions that cut costs and support sustainability goals.

Whether he’s designing a zero-bill solution for a family home or guiding a commercial customer through a complex upgrade, Justin delivers clarity, trust, and real results.

With over 10 years in the renewable energy industry, Stefan brings extensive project delivery experience to NRG Solar. Earlier in his career, he worked in the mining sector on drilling rigs — an environment that shaped his strong work ethic, safety focus and ability to perform under pressure.

Customers and team members rely on Stefan for professionalism, reliability and clear communication throughout every stage of installation. As Delivery Manager, he leads from the front — mentoring the next generation of installers and setting the standard for quality, accountability and pride in workmanship.

Known for being the first to crack a joke on site (and the first to suggest a Friday knock-off beer), Stefan believes strong team culture makes coming to work more enjoyable — and better outcomes naturally follow.

A qualified carpenter and electrician, he brings a practical, hands-on approach to every project he oversees.

Before joining NRG Solar, Nicola worked in the financial services where she specialised in helping people manage their money better. With NRG Solar, Nicola is improving lives—and the planet—by helping people manage their energy better. Nicola understands that each households’ needs are different and enjoys designing tailored solutions based on a thorough and consultative process.

Nicola says, “Becoming a solar and renewable energy professional has fulfilled a dream for me because it means I can use my expertise to help people and the environment.”

Michael is a solar expert with 21 years of experience as an in-home consultant. He thoroughly enjoys helping people and thrives on developing tailored, money-saving solar solutions for his customers.

Jess is a brilliant communicator who understands the needs of residential and business solar customers.

Jess is also obsessed with solar technology and is cohost of a national solar podcast "Just Another Solar Podcast". While still in high school, she set up solar panels and a small battery bank in her bedroom window to charge her phone and laptop. She is passionate about doing right by the planet and believes renewables are the way of the future.

Izach brings a unique background in wine to the world of renewable energy, where he now helps South Australians create smarter, more sustainable homes. Guided by NRG’s strong values, he is passionate about designing solar and battery solutions that deliver genuine long-term value. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to making energy independence achievable, Izach takes pride in providing expert bill analysis and tailored recommendations that give households confidence in their investment.

With nearly 10 years of experience in inventory management and warehouse co-ordination, Shane runs a tight ship, keeps our warehouse in tip-top shape and assists in the customer's journey throughout the installation process.

Shane says, "I love seeing our installs run seamlessly and that the customer's NRG experience is always a positive one. Working in the renewable sector is a rewarding challenge, constantly adapting to new products. But mostly I enjoy helping to create a sustainable future for SA with solar!"

Zoe is another one of our committed customer service coordinators. Her attention to detail, friendly nature, and dedication to providing quality solutions to customers, makes her a true asset to our team.

With 10 years’ experience in customer service-based roles, Zoe knows the importance of ensuring customers' experiences are second to none.

Zoe says, “I like working in the renewable energy industry because I believe in living sustainably and caring for our environment. NRG Solar is a forward thinking and innovative company and I love being a part of the team.”

Elena brings experience across manufacturing, hospitality and technology industries to her role at NRG Solar. With qualifications in both Accounting and Information Technology, she combines financial precision with strong systems knowledge.

Suppliers and team members rely on Elena for accuracy, reliability and attention to detail — from daily banking and accounts receivable to supporting financial reporting and process improvement.

What motivates Elena most about working at NRG Solar is the genuine care she sees across the team — care for renewable energy, for one another, and for delivering the best possible customer experience.

Outside of work, she’s a self-confessed cat lover with an impressive collection of funky kitty emojis.

With 30+ years of experience in the electrical industry, Doug is our head service electrician and a master at problem solving. He leads an expert team that provides exceptional service, whether that’s making sure our installations are running optimally or we’re helping customers with systems orphaned by other solar companies.

“I have a passion for clean energy and a sustainable environment,” says Doug.

Danny is another of NRG Solar’s dedicated installers. He has spent his whole apprenticeship in renewable energy. Danny is friendly and approachable, enjoys being on site with customers and finds satisfaction in exceeding people’s expectations.

With nearly two decades of experience in the electrical industry and 10 years in solar, Joe is an expert accredited solar design and installation technician. Customers know they can rely on Joe for his attention to detail and focus on exceptional quality.

“I had my own business for eight years, but I love the team environment at NRG and supportive culture,” says Joe.

Adam brings decades of business experience to NRG Solar, including 25 years in B2B account management. He understands how organisations operate — and how rising energy costs and grid uncertainty can impact long-term stability.

Clients rely on Adam for honest advice, dependable follow-through, and full accountability from start to finish. He takes pride in building lasting relationships and delivering outcomes that support business confidence and growth.

Adam believes commercial solar is one of the smartest investments a business can make.

Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, walking his two dogs, camping and travelling with his family.

John brings over 12 years of IT experience to NRG Solar, having worked as an IT Support Engineer, IT Specialist and System Administrator. His background is built on troubleshooting, diagnostics and maintaining reliable system performance.

Customers and team members rely on John for calm, methodical technical support and clear problem-solving when it matters most. He takes pride in resolving issues efficiently and keeping systems running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, he’s a proud cat dad to six tech-named cats and an advocate for electric scooters as a cleaner transport alternative.

Nick is one of technical support gurus behind our NRG Care and, frankly, you couldn't be in better hands. Nick works closely with our manufacturers and suppliers to foster a deep understanding of products, technology and the components of each and every system we install. He can also help with the repair or maintenance of systems installed by other solar companies.

Nick says, “Working with NRG is great! We are always finding new solutions and providing support for an ever-growing renewable industry."

Paul is one of NRG Solar's passionate solar installers. He completed a VET electrical training course during year 12 which displayed his keen interest in electrical from early on.

Paul is eager and willing to learn. He is excited about the future of renewables, and the part he can play in it. Paul loves talking to customers which makes him the perfect residential installer!

Ange has more than 20 years' experience managing marketing for some of the country's most well known brands. At NRG Solar, she is the force behind our ethical marketing approach. She loves the positive impact her work has on our customers' lives, as well as the environment.

As well as being passionate about marketing, Ange is also dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and helping NRG Solar's family owned business thrive.

Harry began his career in the trades straight after graduating  After completing his Certificate II in Electrotechnology and gaining customer service experience working at a hardware store, Harry joined NRG Solar to build his career in the renewable energy industry.

Harry takes pride in completing every installation efficiently while maintaining a high standard of neat and tidy workmanship. Fun fact: Harry once appeared in a movie and in 2025 Harry was awarded NRG Solar's Rising Star accolade for his outstanding comittment to the team.

Before joining NRG, Hasib worked as a trade assistant in gyprocking before pursuing his passion for the electrical industry, gaining practical experience that helped pave the way for his apprenticeship.

Hasib is committed to delivering quality workmanship and helping customers get the most from their solar systems. He believes strong communication and a genuine passion for the trades are key to providing exceptional service. Hasib says 'I love working for NRG because they put the team over the company. They care for their workers and the workers care for each other. No day at work is a bad day.' Fun fact: despite his active trade career, Hasib has never broken a bone!

Seth brings experience from both the solar and construction industries. Originally from Port Lincoln, he is passionate about delivering high-quality, efficient installations that meet the highest industry standards.

Friendly and approachable, Seth takes pride in his attention to detail and enjoys helping customers understand their new solar systems. Seth enjoys the strong camaraderie at NRG Solar, where everyone works together in a safe environment, encouraging each other to do their best and deliver quality results. Fun fact: Seth jokes that he's part Clydesdale because he's a workhorse—and always up for a laugh.

Dylan brings a strong work ethic and a diverse background in hospitality, school operations, groundskeeping, and running his own gardening and handyman business. His hands-on experience and commitment to delivering quality results have provided a solid foundation for his career in the electrical industry.

Friendly, motivated, and customer-focused, Dylan is passionate about providing excellent service and enjoys being part of NRG Solar's supportive team culture. Originally from Perth, he relocated to Adelaide in 2024 and is excited to be building a career in the renewable energy industry. In 2026, Dylan was recongised as NRG Solar's Rising Star for his outstanding contributions to the team.

With great energy and a smile, Will is an apprentice with a keen interest in renewable energy.

His start with NRG was a flurry of odd jobs with our service and maintenance team; climbing inside roofs, crawling under houses, and taking down old abandoned systems.

Will has since been recognised as an apprentice dedicated to learning and growing at NRG Solar. His positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job contribute to the camaraderie and support of our in house installation team.
