With South Australia's skyrocketing electricity costs, Festival State Foods Pty Ltd (owner of a number of KFC stores) have decided to install solar to reduce costs.
Shading to multiple places on the roof due to ventilation outlets for the various cooking equipment meant the solar panels had to be placed in a way that avoided these. There was also very high voltage supply for the site which meant extra care with wiring and electrical work.
"The actual production exceeded the estimated average by 27 kWh's in the first month!"
